MERRY AS HELL (2025)

Leave it to Kellison Porter to turn Christmas on its head. Merry as Hell isn’t your typical holiday release — no jingling bells or cookie-cutter cheer here. It’s a spiked-eggnog soundtrack for anyone who’s ever rolled their eyes through a family dinner or smiled through the ache of December.

Sassy, sharp, and a little unhinged, the EP blends biting humor with Porter’s signature alt-rock edge. One moment she’s poking fun at the glitter-coated chaos of the season, the next she’s ripping into the kind of forced joy that hides loneliness under tinsel. The lyrics are clever but cut deep, balancing sarcasm with flashes of vulnerability — that unmistakable Kellison duality where laughter and heartbreak share the same verse.

Behind the distorted guitars and sleigh-bell sarcasm, there’s a truth she doesn’t sugarcoat: not everyone feels “merry,” and not every story wrapped in lights has a happy ending. Still, Merry as Hell manages to find its own kind of comfort — in the chaos, the contradictions, and the catharsis of saying exactly what everyone else’s thinking but won’t admit out loud.

It’s darkly festive, fiercely funny, and unmistakably her. Merry as Hell isn’t about peace on earth — it’s about surviving the season with your sanity (and your eyeliner) intact.
